Nevada Health Centers, Inc. is a federally funded Community Health Center Program (CHC) that has operated medical centers in Nevada for over 30 years. NVHC operates 17 medical facilities, 2 dental clinics, and an OB/GYN clinic throughout the state, including the Nevada Health Centers Mammovan, Miles for Smiles buses, Health Care for the Homeless clinic in Las Vegas and we currently operate 7 WIC Centers throughout Clark County.

Job Description:

Nevada Health Centers is looking for a dynamic Call Center Representative that has experience with high volume calls.

Summary

Supports the scheduling of patients providing routing of incoming/outgoing calls.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience in medical setting or multiple line phone system preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
Fluent in English and Spanish, both verbal and written
Knowledge of general office practices in a clinical setting; including Electronic Health Records
Skilled in operating computer databases and attention to detail
Ability to read, write, and calculate mathematical figures

Responsibilities

Monitors and directs incoming and outgoing calls in a timely manner
Schedules, reschedules, cancels, and confirms appointments accurately
Ensures confidentiality
Coordinates walk-ins and triaging with clinic staff
Blocks out provider and staff schedules as requested by supervisor in a timely manner
Informs patients of sliding fee program and requirements
Answers general questions and provides directions to clinics
Informs caller of special appointment requirements
Ensures proper procedures are followed as per NVHC policy and procedure
Provides customer service and cultural competence
Ability to interact effectively and positively with other staff members
Provides quality management and works to continually improve customer service
Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies
