Positions in this function are responsible for mentoring/training within a function such as claim, customer service, or enrollment. Does not train outside of specialty. This position is instrumental in COBRA Administration training of team member’s state-side and global in current system as well as Web-COBRA. This can include training on CPS Enrollment, TravisCobra software, Microsoft Access databases, customer service classes, Outlook, new employee orientations, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs the duties and responsibilities of a COBRA Account Administrator III, often taking the more difficult, complex, and highly visible customers. Will handle a minimal book of business.
- Takes and resolves escalated issues from the COBRA and Retiree/Direct Billing ACD.
- Applies knowledge/skills to a range of moderately complex activities.
- Demonstrates great depth of knowledge/skills in COBRA Administration function.
- Proactively identifies solutions to non-standard requests.
- Solves moderately complex problems on own, and works with team to solve complex problems.
- Plans, prioritizes, organizes and completes work to meet established objectives and timelines.
- Works independently to design training materials, and setting up training facilities.
- Continues to increase knowledge by participating in career development activities.
- Acts as a resource for the department including GSD staff
- Assists with 100% checking of global staff to help determine training needs (works closely with COBRA Account Administrator IV: Tech Liaison/Global Services Delivery)
- Will be in the same 5:00 rotation as the COBRA Supervisors to ensure all escalated calls are answered.
- Submits monthly reports of the training activities and accomplishments. .
- Meets with individual COBRA Administrators regularly to assess training needs, in the role of performance improvement.
- Is responsible for the documentation of procedures for COBRA Administration
- May work towards obtaining the Certified COBRA Administration Title and maintaining this title by taking the re-certification test, as needed. Must renew on an annual basis.
- Works with/Leads Procedure Committee to develop new procedures and update existing procedures.
- Assists Supervisors with the processing of 2nd requests for review.
- Needs to be respected by fellow team members.

- Any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
