Sr. Analyst(Providence Health)
Location: Renton, WA
In this position you will perform complex analysis to determine ways to find financial value for members and clients while working on-site with Providence Health. Provide support in the preparation of Board level analysis and recommendations. You will be responsible for analyzing current product usage and cost against member/client contracts and national data. Determine contract penetration, calculate market share and recommend areas for cost reduction through standardization, substitution and utilization through contract maximization. Perform highly complex analysis and present identified opportunities to management and the member and make recommendations for cost savings.
Responsibilities:
• Develops and maintains relationships with customers and team members
• Conducts analyses of information to produce results and identify solutions to complex problems
• Provide monthly status level reporting for goals achievement. Represent VHA/Novation and Regional programs and services opportunities to member(s).
• Interact with national/regional team to maintain current contract and programmatic specific understanding and offerings.
• Conducts research as determined by the Executive Officer and management team
• Interprets trends, regulatory changes, and/or forecasts, and anticipates impact for members
• Designs and creates charts, graphs, tables and reports to support findings and develop recommendations
• Work with member/client to implement identified opportunities and make recommendations to management and members and provide guidance in selecting alternatives for costs savings and efficiency
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, Master's a plus
• 5+ years related experience with strong healthcare industry knowledge and understanding of contracts, negotiations and procurement
• In-depth knowledge of company products and services, demonstrated analytical skills within a hospital or clinical setting (Acute and Non-Acute)
• Minimum 3 + years working with and understanding supply chain operations
• Comprehensive proficiency of Microsoft office applications; Excel and Access
• Proficient at MS Excel - capable of developing templates and training others on the team
• Ability to run 'what if' scenarios using analytic tools
• Access skill development added value for complex data sets
• Understanding of healthcare environment, ideally, specific to the WA market
• Previous hospital consulting, supply responsibility or healthcare sales
