Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Dietitian position at Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home, located ~ 1 hour northwest of Albany. This community hospital is comprised of 74 acute care beds, 84 skilled nursing beds and an outpatient clinic.
Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Clinical Dietitian will:
Primarily be responsible for providing nutritional care to the acute care patients and outpatient clients.
Provide coverage for the long term care residents as needed.
Be a Registered Dietitian with experience in long term care.
Mentor Dietetic Interns
Work as part of a 3 RD team and provide facility wide weekend coverage every 3rd weekend.
Have experience with EMR and the Nutrition Care Process.
Possess strong customer service and communication skills.
Assist with community nutrition programs.

Provides comprehensive nutrition assessments and care planning for patients/residents. Plans special diets and supervises their preparation. Instructs patients/residents and/or hospital personnel in principles of nutrition and modifications of normal diet. Performs routine care responsibilities without training and direction.
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
