Description Job Category: Product Design & Engineering-Powertrain Employment Type: Full Time Physical Location: Chrysler Headquarters & Tech Center The Automatic Transmission Systems Engineer for 6F24, 948TE, 845RE, 8HP70 and 62TE transmissions. Will interface with hardware, calibration and synthesis engineers to execute the DVP&R for 6F24, 948TE, 845RE, 8HP70 and 62TE transmission applications. Work with the transmission, aero thermal, and proving grounds laboratory facilities to have test runs and work completed. Lead dynamometer testing for 6F24, 948TE, 845RE, 8HP70 and 62TE transmissions including providing test units, data collection review, test schedule approval, and calibration support. Analyze and organize data in support of management presentations. Organize and utilize vehicles for test support outside and inside our departments including garage work, instrumentation, and calibration support. Root cause and resolve test failures. Work with component engineers on solution and design performance. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering From an ABET accredited university * Minimum 5 years of engineering experience * Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in transmission testing procedures, in vehicle or on dyno * Good working knowledge of the 6F24, 948TE, 845RE, 8HP70 and 62TE transmissions operation * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Experience with basic PC software (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Project) * Highly motivated, self-directed, have the ability to manage multiple complex projects, and have a positive attitude Preferred Qualifications: * Masters degree in Engineering * Experience with using INCA * Experience with using Chrysler Diagnostic Application * Experience with vehicle CAN architecture, able to read and send CAN messages * Experience with flashing Chrysler vehicle transmission and engine controllers * Specific experience with software, calibration, and/or thermal management * Ability to carry out Structural Analysis using FEM principles & tools like ANSYS, Pro-Mechanica, CATIA and MSC Requirements Please see job description.
