Sodexo is seeking a Retail Manager 1 at Liberty University, in beautiful Lynchburg, Virginia. Liberty University is a private christian university with residential enrollment of 12,600. This year Liberty University reached the distinction of being the largest non-profit private university in the United States. This position will be part of a large management team that helps support food operations throughout the campus including residential dining, retail, catering, and concessions. This position will manage retail national brands. Responsibilities include meeting and exceeding the national brand and Sodexo's standards and compliance, product quality, customer service, HAACP, accounting, scheduling, human resources, and training.
The successful candidate will have at least 1-2 years food service supervisory or management experience, an eye for detail, computer literacy, financial acumen, and excellent organizational skills. Previous national brand experience is highly desirable.
*** This position is a 10 month position from August through May. Campus is closed for the summer. Catering Manager position will be laid off during this time with no pay and self-paid benefits only. Position will resume at the beginning of the next school year. ***
Maintains food quality and customer service in a cash handling retail food operation that includes branded concepts, in-house formats and signature designs. May assume GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
