Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Operations Manager 2 for Runnells Specialized Hospital of Union County, Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. This is a 344 resident Long Term Care / Behavioral Health Community that is located on a 45-acre mountain top tract of land in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. This Food
Service Operations Manager will support the community dining venues and manage the daily food service operations with efficiency using ideal and company standards of excellence. This manager will have oversight for approximately 50 Sodexo frontline (hourly employees) and four to five Sodexo managers and will focus on implementation and oversight of Sodexo procedures including Sodexo food and physical safety programs, HACCP standards and training of staff.

The deal candidate has will have a formal degree, valid ServSafe certificate, previous experience with Department of Health regulatory guidelines, excellent knowledge of food presentation, fundamental culinary knowledge, food and labor management systems experience, strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with several generations in the workplace and experience in a Senior Living environment. The best qualified candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills and will be hands-on during dining experiences as the position will interface with the client and residents on a regular basis. This manger will work primarily a day shift schedule (with a typical start time of 8:00 am or 9:00 am) as well as a Monday through Friday schedule, but must be available to work some weekends as needed in order to cover business demands . This position is also responsible for ensuring the positive outcomes for all planning and organizing in support of the Sodexo Brand at all dining experiences in a respectful and appreciative manner.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
