The Product Engineer for Body Electromechanical Hardware will be responsible for the for the engineering, design, development, timing and validation of Electromechanical hardware systems (e.g. power lift gate, power sliding door or power sliding back light). This will include analyzing and testing the design to ensure it meets requirements, working with the extended vehicle team and suppliers to develop and launch the systems, and competitive benchmarking.
Basic Qualifications:
* Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering required from an ABET accredited university
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering required from an ABET accredited university
* Minimum of 1 years of experience in body release engineering
* Experience in body hardware systems (e.g. power lift gate, latching, power sliding door, window systems)
* Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)
* Knowledgeable in NX or CATIA V5 parametric design, Teamcenter release experience
* Body systems in-plant launch experience
* Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) green / black-belt
* Shainin/ Kepner-Tregoe reactive problem solving
* Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
* Self-starter with strong leadership, communication skills and demonstrated problem solving ability
* Proficient in MS-Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
