The Vehicle Line Planning Analyst will be responsible for the vehicle development of specific product, including customer definition, brand and competitive targets including lifecycle management. This is a key role working with cross-functional teams to define product program while ensuring alignment with financial and technical execution of product plan. The selected candidate will be responsible for aligning voice of the customer and brand objective for development.
This position will define competitive landscape and specific competitor attributes, define customer data -- demographics, purchase/rejection reasons, compile business cases for new features/content. The selected candidate will Co-Lead vehicle teams in the definition of product programs, translate brand objectives into product attributes/features and manage product content complexity and targets globally. This is position is responsible for defining detailed vehicle attributes and will Co-Chair Product Lifecycle Teams. The selected candidate will ensure consistent contenting versus competitive set and showroom, create and manage nameplate product plan and ensure vehicle definition gate metrics are appropriate, clearly identified and reviewed at program milestones. This position is responsible for aligning vehicle component/systems to buildable vehicle product plan and the communication of product plan to engineering team to determine feasibility. The selected candidate will also review product correctness in external communication, PR, Sales and training materials, support production launch and market launch activities and analyze/recommend strategies to support 3rd party vehicle ratings (Consumer Reports, etc.)
Basic Requirements:
* A minimum of a technical associate's degree or equivalent technical degree is required
* Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years experience directly related automotive experience in one or more of the following areas: Product Planning, Engineering, Quality, Mopar/Components
* Candidates must possess significant work experience with Jeep Wrangler product or similar off-road focused passenger vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Self-starters that have the ability to analyze research data and provide insights/POV
* Familiar or experienced in quantifying consumer demand and trending via social media sources
* Able to multi task and prioritize work load while leading cross-functional areas to synergistic collaboration
* Creatively driven style to take on tasks that produce outcomes outside the "norm"
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a complex organization
* Able to deliver concise product proposals through high level presentations
