Job Description
Coordinates emergent and non-emergent requests for Mayo Clinic Medical Transport which includes Gold Cross Ambulance, Mayo MedAir, and Mayo One patient transportation services to and from the Mayo Clinic Medical Center. Coordinates emergent and non-emergent requests for Avera Careflight to and from Avera McKennan Hospital and Albert Lea Ambulance Service to and from Albert Lea Medical Center. Provides an interface between Operational Control Centers and flight crews. Receives and coordinates external radio and telephone communications into the Emergency Department (ED) and Admission Coordination Office at St. Mary's Hospital. Coordinates advanced notification of patient arrival information to appropriate areas within Mayo Clinic Medical Center. Provides 911 caller pre-arrival instructions for Gold Cross Ambulance for the counties of Olmsted, Steel, parts of Mower, Blue Earth, Freeborn and parts of Sherburne county. Activates Pediatric Rapid Response, stemi, sepsis, trauma and acute stroke teams for the Mayo Clinic Medical Center. (001207)

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED. Current EMT and CPR certifications required. Must obtain Emergency Medical Dispatch certification within three months from the date-of-hire from National Academy of Emergency Medical Dispatch. Basic computer knowledge. Excellent communication skills.

Other Qualifications:
Working knowledge of radio communications and field experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.

Hours/Pay Period: 80
Schedule Details: Mainly nights 1630-0230 every other weekend and on call
Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend

Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
