Job Description:
A Research Trainee at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position with the primary purpose to provide training and education in research. A clear statement of the educational benefit for the applicant must accompany the appointment request. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Research trainees do not receive salary support or benefits from Mayo Clinic as part of this training experience.

A position is currently available with Dr. Manish Kohli in the Department of Oncology for an interested candidate who has an interest in a clinical research project involving database extraction of information. Basic Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor’s degree or candidates with or working toward master’s, M.D., Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Also, database management and skills Please attach the following required documents at the time of application:
  1. Current curriculum vitae and bibliography
  2. Three letters of recommendation, signed, on letterhead, describing:
    • Relationship to the applicant.
    • Past work/academic performance.
    • Work qualities/personal conduct.
    • Overall assessment of potential for success in research environment.
  3. Written confirmation from your financial institution to show that you will have at least 23,660 U.S. dollars of funding available to cover a one-year appointment to meet Mayo Clinic funding guidelines.
