Job Description
Provides a wide range of services in clinic and hospital based laboratories such as specimen collection, reception desk duties, scheduling/billing functions, waived laboratory testing, assists nurses with difficult INT sticks, and a variety of other services unique to the individual work area. Ensures that all services are carried out according to established directions and guidelines in the Procedure Manual designated by Mayo Clinic Laboratory Department. Interacts with the patient, family, physicians, allied health staff, and visitors as a professional member of the laboratory team.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Other Qualifications:
Certification in phlebotomy and one year hospital experience preferred or certification as a Medical Assistant. Physical ability required for lifting and long periods of standing. Good hearing and verbal communication skills needed. Must be able to distinguish colors. Must exercise caution to avoid potential exposure to hazards.

Schedule Details: Monday - Friday; 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Weekend Schedule:
Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $12.35 per hour.
