Job Description
Three Master’s prepared Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNP) are needed to join our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Experience is preferred but new graduate applicants will be considered, depending on other experiences and training. These positions include direct patient care in the NICU and the well-baby nursery. The culture in Family Birthplace is for well-babies to room in with mother. Approximately 1,000 deliveries per year occur in our Family Birthplace. These positions involve attendance at deliveries for evaluation and resuscitation of newborns. The NNP will be involved in nursing staff development and training, as well as teaching/supervising residents. The position includes some 1 in 4 night call. The call would be 24 hour, in house call for deliveries, admissions to the well nursery and NICU. Board-certified neonatologists are available 24/7. Opportunities for research are available.

Basic Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and neonatal nurse practitioner program. Current license in Wisconsin or eligible for licensure. Certified or eligible for certification as a nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
