A Visiting Scientist at Mayo Clinic is intended to provide individuals who hold a primary academic appointment at another institution concurrent with the Mayo Clinic appointment to engage in mutually advantageous research activities with a Mayo Clinic principal investigator.

Basic Qualifications:
Appointee must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Requires that the appointee will typically hold an academic rank of instructor to the professor level at another institution in a field deemed relevant by the program. Please attach the following required documents at the time of application: Current curriculum vitae and bibliography, Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program and a letter from your institution confirming your academic rank and the expectation that you will return following completion of the Mayo Clinic appointment.
