Major Purpose of Job:

Assist the Director of Business Technology in providing ongoing operational and technical support to the Testing and Continuing Education (TCE) department. Serve as a subject matter expert for all the departmental related applications. Actively manage and monitor vendor deployments of delivery driver and exam/CE content. Assist the Testing and Continuing Education department with technical test plans for PROCTOR releases and participate in testing the system enhancements.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Monitor and address all the issues identified on the PROCTOR dashboard.
    • Escalate issues as necessary to management.
  • Provide general technical support to all of TCE with regard to the PROCTOR system and support users in acquiring necessary entitlements.
  • Identify modifications to PROCTOR system that reduce the manual work processes and make the system more user-friendly.
  • Represent end users by supporting the identification of requirements and ensuring that project deliverables meet these requirements. Participate in identification of requirements for, and design of, technologies and tools.
    • Report progress on operations related tasks at the PROCTOR project meetings and status calls.
    • Lead and conduct the weekly business operations and technology meeting with an agenda and meeting minutes.
    • Participate in the final regression test and post deployment validation of all PROCTOR releases.
  • Serve as the department point of contact for the test delivery vendors to address operational issues relating to the delivery of exams and CE sessions.
    • Work closely with vendors to plan and deploy software and content to the test centers.
      • Create and manage project plans for deployments.
      • Manage risks utilizing industry best practices
      • Provide status updates and escalations on a periodic basis to the management team.
    • Provide ongoing operational support for vendors and test centers regarding the delivery of exams and CE sessions.
    • Monitor QC lab availability and escalate problems as they arise.
  • Manage and enhance the department Sharepoint Team Site.
    • Identify work processes that can be automated through Sharepoint.
    • Implement Sharepoint workflows that simplify and provide more visibility into business processes.
    • Provide and maintain entitlements to SharePoint libraries and webparts.
  • Work closely with management on Information Management related tasks.
    • Maintain user entitlements to applications and access to data. Conduct periodic entitlement audits
    • Identify the flow of confidential information through data exchange or business work processes and create methods for securing such information.
    • Escalate security breaches when found to management

Other Responsibilities:

  • Mentor other Technical Support team members on the TCE work processes.
  • Participate in all assigned TCE initiatives and contribute effectively.



Requirements

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • B.S in Computer Science or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience. Candidate must be customer focused with strong analytical skills. At-least 4 ars of experience with writing SQLscripts.
  • Experience with MS-ACCESS and VBA required. Experience with Sharepoint 2010 preferred.
  • Experience with project management, risk management and problem solving.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and technical capabilities are essential to position.
  • Able to work as an independent contributor or as a member of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is normally performed in an office environment.
  • Extended hours may be occasionally required.
  • Tech Support members work in a team environment with opportunities to interact with external vendors and test takers and senior management.
