Marketing Specialist Location: Irving - Las Colinas, Texas Job Description: The marketing & Communication specialist will be responsible for supporting and implementing activities for aptitude, healthcare's online direct contracting market. The specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of marketing plans to accomplish key initiatives and corporate goals. The marketing specialist will work closely with the team leaders, sales, development and product management to support organizational goals. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of general marketing support, event planning, and social media platforms and practices. General marketing - The candidate will support the marketing and content development efforts, making sure aptitude stays on track to meet deadlines and expectations. He or she will be relied upon to thoughtfully manage the details of the marketing calendar and to ensure that everything is running according to project schedules. The candidate will serve as central coordinator for the creative production process. He or she should be able to write well, to prioritize and manage a diverse flow of work, to anticipate the needs of other people, to be organized, and to communicate well with internal and external stakeholders. Event planning - The candidate will support the industry event strategy by attending internal, cross-functional marketing team meetings, and by implementing event logistics. He or she will communicate with related departments as necessary to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, while maximizing customer satisfaction - both internally and externally. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining event timelines, managing event logistics, writing overview copy to support the event strategy, working to secure proper onsite logistics, working with creative and public relations agencies, tracking individual event results within salesforce.com, and working cross-functionally within marketing and sales to achieve the stated goals. Social media - The candidate should have experience in working with digital marketing strategies, with an emphasis on website and social media initiatives. He or she will be working with sites including Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more. He or she will be responsible for creating and monitoring social media content and trends as well as maintaining a content calendar, researching and posting content, and aiding in the development of social media strategies. The candidate will be responsible for engaging and encouraging on-going conversations with followers on all social media outlets. This position requires the following: - Bachelor's degree in marketing or business and 1-3 years of related experience - Experience managing large scope projects that require coordination across internal and external teams under tight deadlines - An understanding of the brand identity strategy and applying this strategy in order to create a consistent voice in print, video, website and the social market - displays impeccable qualities in written communication, creative writing, project management and organization skills - ability to communicate concisely and persuasively in generating support for all media concepts - requires a self-starter who is externally oriented and works well and independently in a fast-paced environment - Strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
