Description

Sodexo Health Care is seeking a General Manager of Dining Services / director of Dining Services for a 200 bed hospital located in Richmond, VA. This manager must, have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy
working in health care environment and managing people and the dining operation to make every day a better day for our clients and patients with the goal of creating dining experiences, not just meals. Best qualified candidate will
possess excellent leadership and communication skills and will provide leadership during client and resident catering functions. This position will interface with the client and residents on a regular basis to listen to and look for opportunities for innovation and creativity. The General Manager for this unit will be responsible to manage all dining / food service area, manage 25 employees with a managed volume of approximately $2.0 million annually.

The General Manager will have an active role in managing the daily events and operations related to finance; cost controls, customer service, and will provide strategic leadership and work collaboratively with several generations in the workplace to exceed resident and client expectations. This position is also responsible for the positive outcomes for all planning, organizing and the Sodexo Brand at all dining experiences in a respectful and appreciative manner.

Reporting to the District Manager, the ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience as a General Manager / Food Service Director / Certified Dietary Manager and have experience in training and developing staff, coordinating customer service programs.

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
