Description

The Amazon Kindle Content team is looking for a sharp, analytical, enthusiastic, creative, and results-oriented merchandiser with native or fluent Spanish language skills to help meet our business objectives and create innovative customer experiences for customers interested in Spanish-language books. The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for readers, authors, and the current Spanish-language literary landscape. Responsibilities include developing and executing bold creative merchandising and marketing strategies, measuring and analyzing the performance of onsite and email programs, identifying new opportunities based on customer and business data, and managing projects that rely on close collaboration with technical and business teams within Amazon.Those with exceptional skills in project management and who are detail-oriented, organized, capable of handling multiple projects and dealing with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities are encouraged to apply, especially if they are comfortable working with multiple teams, vendors, and management across a variety of projects. Candidates must be: successful both as individual contributors and in a team environment; obsessed with improving customer experience and able to leverage first-class written and verbal communication skills in a data-driven environment; able to prioritize to meet deadlines, manage expectations and dependencies, and analyze data to demonstrate results. Technical requirements include intermediate HTML/XML and the ability to learn in-house tools quickly.The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience with online merchandising or web publishing, as well as being innovative, motivated, self-directed, and willing to synthesize business and customer-experience objectives into flawlessly executed online and email merchandising across multiple store surfaces. Core duties:Plan, coordinate, and execute merchandising initiatives for multiple content categoriesWrite strong, on-brand copy, including irresistible calls to action for targeted audiencesAnalyze performance of content (including website, email, and social media), always seeking ways to improveWork with vendors and vendor managers to create on-brand, best-in-class contentCreate features specific to the categories, coordinating content from internal and external sourcesAnalyze traffic patterns and optimize for seasonality, relevance, and selectionDrive improvements to completion by coordinating with project managers, web developers, vendor managers, designers, and other merchandisers Basic Qualifications Native or fluent Spanish (North American)Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and EnglishThree to five years of relevant work experience in online marketing and/or merchandisingProficient knowledge MS OfficeIntermediate knowledge of HTML, XMLBA/BS required Preferred Qualifications Interest in publishing and digital mediaAbility to think both strategically and tacticallyComfortable with a varied set of software and editing toolsExcellent project management skills, including work prioritization, planning, and task delegationProven track record writing customer-facing content that is on-brand, relevant, and tailored to the Spanish-language internet shopper in North AmericaAbility to conceptualize and execute projects with strong bias for action and prioritization to meet deadlinesAbility to analyze quantitatively and use customer research, hard data, and metrics to back up assumptions, identify opportunities, and assess the efficacy of marketing programsFamiliarity with SQLMasters preferred
