The Methods & Standards Engineer is responsible for supporting implementation of World Class Manufacturing including involvement with Cost Deployment, Workplace Organization, Focused Improvement, and Autonomous Maintenance Project tracking, kaizen leader and active team participants in WCM activities Complete value added/ non value added analysis. Plan and develop man-assignments, layouts and process standards. Perform time and motion studies and/or MODAPTS studies and resolve ergonomic issues. Coordinate with MAP industrial engineering to develop, track and attain key departmental goals: manpower, EHPU, overtime, and throughput as applicable Maintain and audit productivity data (AMPS if applicable) to assure accurate efficiency, utilization man-assignment data, Attend process review and safety/ergo buy-off meetings for new model processes, Support budget development, as applicable.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
* Proven ability to work with all levels of personnel and management within a union environment
* Must possess both good analytical and communications skills
* Established record of self-motivated performance
* Must have good computer skills (Microsoft Office, FIS,CMIS, ODIMS,etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering preferred
* Knowledge of high speed manufacturing preferred
* Knowledge of Time Study / Standards, Ratings, MODAPTS, Ergonomic Evaluation, Budgets, Microsoft Tools, preferred
* Experience in implementation of World Class Manufacturing in union environment.
* Prior supervisory experience in a union environment helpful.
