The SBU Facilities Engineer is responsible for engaging in the complex or comprehensive phases of plant engineering of new or changes structures and facilities. The engineer will develop plant layouts, time lines, budget and specifications for an entire project including, but not limited to, the manufacturing and service facility grounds and ground improvements. The engineer will coordinate all internal and external resources and materials to drive projects that meet strict timelines and budgets. The engineer must also work with plant staff on recording and developing monthly and yearly reports as World Class Manufacturing (WCM) dictates.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic industrial components
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Strong leadership skills with multi-tasking abilities
* Experience with WCM Methodology, tools and applications
* Must be able to work any shift including overtime as needed
* Understanding of Chrysler's Project Tracking and Payment Systems (ITAS and IPATS)
* Ability to interface with all levels of management
* Excellent in team environment but able to work independently as well
* Proven track record of successful projects
* Energy efficiency understanding
Preferred Qualifications:
* Advanced degree
* Working knowledge of CAD and CATIA
* Proficient in Microsoft Project and other Microsoft programs
* Electrical Engineering focus with an energy resource curtailment understanding
* Creative energy project demonstration
