Position Description:

 

As part of the MedPointteam you will be supporting business operations and compliance requirementsincluding Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) guidelines and HIPAA compliance.  MedPoint is a risk assessment andunderwriting product that provides an individual’s health profile, based ontheir prescription history.  You will bean individual contributor responsible for daily operational supportresponsibilities that include receiving,documenting, investigating, and responding in a timely manner to MedPointClients or Consumers who dispute the accuracy of or question informationcontained in their MedPoint reports.  Additionally,you will assume tasks associated with auditing of MedPoint clients to assurecompliance with HIPAA standards.  Thisrole will partner with Optum IT, Data Partners and clients toinvestigate or correct data errors and resolve audit issues.  Your skills would include a background withbusiness analysis, high attention to detail and strong communication.  We are seeking a results driven self-starter; whodelivers high quality, on-time results to meet bothformal and informal deadlines. 

  

This position works underthe direction of the MedPoint Product Manager at Optum.

 

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Operationally supportthe MedPoint
  • Gathering, reviewingand investigating disputed information; entering data into a log, conductinginvestigations on erroneous data and responding to client inquiries
  • Producing'ad-hoc' queries and reports requested by internal and external customers usingMedPoint
  • Workingwith Consumers to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve disputes or issues
  • Accurately keepingtime entry and a log of disputes
  • Auditing clientsfor allowable use of product
  • Organizing,gathering, storing compliance and audit artifacts/documentation in a logicaland easily retrievable manner
  • Becoming aMedPoint subject-matter-expert, and to share knowledge with others as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to trackand multi-task many operational deliverables or tasks
  • Ability to organizejob-related responsibilities, establish priorities, and manage time effectively
  • Ability toaccurately follow standard operational process to meet FCRA and auditingprocesses
  • Partner with technologyteams (IT Engineers and Application Development)
  • Track and pursue newdisputes for business customers
  • Ethical, innovative, andanalytical thinker
  • Appropriately escalateissues to management




Requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience as using data and facts to identify, investigate andsolve a range of problems
  • Intermediate use of standard desktop software packages (Windows, Word, and Excel)
  • Undergraduate degree or High School/GED and equivalentexperience
  • 3 years of experience working in an officeenvironment

Assets: 

  • Visio, Access, SharePoint experience preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced, corporate environmentpreferred
  • Experiencein the health insurance or health care industry
  • Auditingexperience
  • Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)  experience
  • HIPAAexperience
  • Compliance(company/state/federal/etc) experience
