Sodexo Health Care is seeking a Food Service General Manager to join its team in the Boston metro area. Seeking a motivated General Manager to direct the food and nutrition services at Carney Hospital, a 159 bed community hospital. Paient Dining is Sodexo's "Expressly For You". Also responsible to manage an on-site retail café and catering services. The selected candidate will manage the day to day operations of our food and nutrition department ensuring compliance with JCAHO inspections.The General Manager should have recent experience with JCAHO inspections and regulatory compliance requirements. Prior GM experience in a similar environment preferred (Hospitals preferred). ServSafe certification and strong computer literacy required.
The General Manager is Sodexo's primary account representative responsible for all aspects of the account - catering, retail, service, production, sanitation, customer service and financial performance. The best candidate will be proficient with computers, Microsoft Office word and spreadsheet programs. Experienced managing in a diverse environment. Job responsibilities include:

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
