Sodexo is seeking a Retail Operations Manager for Montclair State University, the second largest state university in New Jersey with an enrollment of 20,000. The Retail Operations Manager will be responsible for the management of a complex retail operation that includes national brands like Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, Einstein Bagels, Guy Fieri On Campus, and in-house branded concepts, 24/7 full-service diner, mobile food trucks, concessions and multiple satellite retail locations across campus.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
-- High volume campus/university retail operations management experience
-- Experience training and leading other salaried managers and hourly staff in a union environment
-- Experience with multi-unit quick service or food court operations
-- Experience driving sales and controlling costs
-- Experience with ordering and inventory
-- Experience with food and physical safety programs, and Bd of Health requirements
-- Experience with heavy volume cash handling
Manages all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and directly supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
