Description

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Director, Clinic Operations will be the following:

~ Directs strategic planning and management of enterprise-wide, large-scale clinical strategic initiatives.

~ Provides strategic direction and leadership of team members (matrix team management, 10-60).

~ Collaborates with the executive team and key stakeholders throughout initiative phases.

~ Directs the project management and process improvement activities.

~ Utilizes established project management and process improvement methodologies as required for initiative execution. 

~ Facilitates and coordinates the planning, implementation, data collection/reporting, evaluation, and control phases of assigned initiatives.

~ Mobilizes team members and maintains motivation to accomplish goals under stringent timelines, when required.

~ Oversees effectiveness and efficiency of team members to achieve initiative goals.

~ Directs on-going evaluation and conducts analysis to measure outcomes and report results.

~ Directs data collection and reporting activities

~ Conducts research and complex analysis to interpret information on initiative issues and problems to make informed decisions or for making recommendations to key stakeholders.

~ Provides regular reports to executive team and stakeholders.

~ Identifies, directs, communicates, and executes continuous quality improvement activities or processes to ensure initiative outcomes are met.

 





Requirements

~ Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or other related field required; an Advanced degree in these areas is preferred 

~ 3 or more years interacting regularly with senior management required

~ 5 or more years effectively manage and direct various levels of employees required

~ 5 or more years of experience utilizing excellent communication/facilitation skills in providing executive level presentations required

~ Five years proficiency in project management preferred

~ Working knowledge of process improvement methodologies

~ Five years experience in the assessment, design, development, implementation, data collection/reporting, and evaluation of initiatives and/or programs required

~ Solid data mining, analytical and reporting skills, along with ability to review and interpret data and make recommendations to senior-management

~ Knowledge of current principles, practices, and trends in leadership and resource management

~ Experience providing leadership and direction for long-range strategic planning

~ 5 or more years in depth analysis utilizing appropriate tools, and knowledge of current trends in reporting and technology applications being utilized for a variety initiatives

~ Familiarity with basic understanding with standards such as URAC, NCQA, and CMS 

~ Working knowledge/familiarity with Medicare and managed care environment

~ Required proficiency with Microsoft Office including: Power Point, Visio, Word, Project and Excel

~ Local and overnight travel is required - 25% of the time (10 markets, 65 locations)

~ Five years working directly with clinical/healthcare is preferred

~ Eight or more years in corporate/business setting, managed care, health system/insurance is preferred

~ Five or more years proven ability to integrate large-scale systemic change programs with wide range of stakeholders and department managers – analyze outcomes driving optimal care delivery results highly preferred

~ Able to establish cooperative and collaborative working relationships in the course of performing assigned duties

~ Senior care experience preferred

~ Active RN license is preferred
