Strategic Account Executive
Location: New York - Presbyterian Hospital - New York, NY
Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the enterprise relationship of one of VHA's largest and most strategic members, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital located in New York, NY. The Strategic Account Executive is accountable for the custom financial relationship as well as the day-to-day operations of this partnership.
This position manages the team of on-site and VHA home office staff dedicated to NewYork-Presbyterian and is responsible for developing member account plans that drive growth in the business partnership, identifying, prioritizing and implementing high value projects, and delivering strong support and customer service. The position will oversee all of VHA's national offerings and will align with other strategic accounts across the country.
Responsible for:
Leading the enterprise relationship with NewYork-Presbyterian including management of staff dedicated to the account.
Promote and foster networking and learning opportunities with other VHA/Novation members, particularly those in the Large IDN Supply Network. Share best practices and success stories from other Strategic Accounts.
Providing coordination and communication through VHA/Novation matrix organizational structure.
Aligning strategic account needs with VHA/Novation solutions and alternatives to drive value.
Influence & provide services to NYPH affiliates, especially New York Hospital Queens in addition to the main campuses of NYP.
Proactively managing several large hospital-wide initiatives, simultaneously, that span across financial, operational and clinical hospital resources.
Gaining engagement from various areas of the hospital to ensure successful cost reduction initiatives and the proper planning of organizational-wide communication for such initiatives.
Providing service support to create strong member satisfaction.
Developing member account plans that drive growth in the business partnership but lower overall NYPH supply chain costs.
Developing strategic partnerships on innovative and market-leading tools and solutions. Ensuring that appropriate hospital staff is trained and comfortable with using these tools.
Leveraging knowledge on best practice in high-dollar impact areas like physician preference management and purchased services.
Managing all GPO contracting coordination including LOP/LOC tracking, price accuracy, Standardization program participation and validation, member rostering.
Tracking member value across multiple service lines and reporting through VHA process.
Create and process appropriate Budget Adjustments according to the NYP process and procedure.
Developing and maintaining effective relationships with member contacts as well as with other members of VHA/Novation team.
Manage and coordinate activity in Customer Relationship Management tools.
Conduct quarterly business reviews and involve senior levels of NYPH and VHA/Novation.
This position is expected to be on-site in the customer facility 5 days per week or as agreed by VHA and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience / supply chain and healthcare industry strongly preferred.
• Experience working with executive levels at acute care providers and ability to influence decisions at both the C-suite and department head levels.
• Must be willing live in assigned territory and travel minimally (10%).
• Must possess strong leadership and account management skills.
• Service delivery experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
• Consulting experience a plus.
• Experience with group purchasing contracts and coordinating suppliers and customer needs is preferred.
