Job Duties and Responsibilities:
We are currently looking for an innovative and entrepreneurial candidate to add to our deal team in Programming. Reporting to the VP, Programming, the Head of our Latino Programming team will be heavily involved in all aspects of our growing business: identifying, evaluating and securing content; negotiating programming rights and affiliation agreements, marketing, pricing and packaging the content for our subscribers; and, operational execution.
Responsibilities include: - Develop and execute Latino acquisition and programming strategy (including evaluation of its impact on positioning with DISH); identify, pursue and source relevant content; provide strategic and analytical guidance on all new content/network opportunities that support internal strategies and customer expectations. - Evaluate potential channels and develop justification models and strategies. - Work with various internal stakeholders to negotiate term sheet and steward the deal to completion. - Maintain and cultivate relationships with content partners. - Foster and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the competitive linear, digital and entertainment landscape. - Develop relationships and work collaboratively with other DISH teams (finance, operations, legal, marketing, field, public relations, etc.) to ensure the department and systems are running smoothly.
