Description Job Category: Manufacturing-Operations Employment Type: Full Time Physical Location: Warren Truck Assembly Plant The Business Unit Leader (BUL) is responsible for managing, mentoring, coaching and training Unit Leaders and Team Leaders in assembly. This position also runs open zones during absences and/or vacations and drives the department as well as support departments for implementation of corrective actions as it relates to issues on the floor. The BUL is responsible to cascade the knowledge of the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools down to the Unit Leaders, Team Leaders as well as the Team members and works with the Focused Improvement pillar to develop projects for improvements for the department. Oversee and monitor the success of department model areas. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required * Minimum 5 years of supervisory production experience preferably in a manufacturing environment * Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor employee team members * Must be willing to work any shift and overtime as required Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering or other technical field * Advanced degree preferred * Previous experience working in union environment * Strong background in LEAN manufacturing * Automotive assembly experience * Proficient in MS Office Suite of products Requirements Please see job description.
