The Small Business Sales Specialist (SBSS) is responsible for promoting and driving sales to local small businesses through Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram BusinessLink dealerships with the primary focus on commercial vehicles. The Small Business Sales Specialist is responsible for developing the commercial/small business sales department within each Business Link dealer.
This position will cover a territory multiple counties in northwest Wisconsin, as well as the entire states of Minnesota and North Dakota. It is preferred that the qualified candidate will establish their home office in the Minneapolis, MN metropolitan area. Travel will be required approximately 85% of the time. The SBSS is responsible for preparing and presenting reports/metrics for the dealer principal that identify the commercial sales opportunity and performance in the market. This role will also secure dealer commitments to invest in people, processes and training to support commercial sales. The SBSS is to manage and provide consultation on the dealership's commercial inventory and insure availability of the right commercial product for the market. In addition, the SBSS will also help identify the marketing strategy and obtain dealership advertising and market commitments, as well as manage commercial advertising co-op with the cooperation of the Regional Sales Manager.
This position serves as the primary local contact for commercial bailment pools. The SBSS is to promote pools into commercial sales processes, including facilitating dealer relationships, developing stocking and consignment programs, and enhancing visibility of appropriate work upfit vehicles for specific market. This selected candidate will also work with dealers to help establish grass root trade shows, establish local truck clubs and hold quarterly meetings within region of responsibility. The SBSS is to accompany dealer sales personnel on outside sales calls to local small businesses.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree
* A minimum of 5 years of OEM field sales or commercial/fleet leasing experience
* Knowledge or experience with dealership commercial sales processes
Preferred Qualifications:
* OEM field sales experience related to commercial market segment and products
* Commercial vehicle product knowledge
* Experience/relationship/understanding of bailment pool and/or commercial equipment upfitters
