Title: Medical Assistant- Bilingual- Uro/Gyn, Park Plaza, Houston TX Location: Texas Other Locations: Medical Assistant -Bilingual- Uro/Gyn Exp- Park Plaza, Houston TX Fluent in English/Spanish Provides caring and compassionate direct care in a clinic setting under the direction of a physician. * Assists medical providers, and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the practice policies and procedure. * Assists in the assessment of patient needs by taking vital signs, BP, history, and medication listing to determine chief complaint. * Prepares equipment and assists with medical treatments, exams, and procedures. * Administers prescribed medications, and gives injections. * Complete necessary documentation using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) * Assist with auditing, billing, and coding as requested. * Calls appropriate insurance to pre-certify surgeries, or tests ordered by the physician or other health care provider. * Graduate of an accredited CMA program preferred * Two years of medical office experience, front end and back end * Medical terminology * Proficient in coding, billing, and medical back office procedures. * Front office experience in MS Office, and EMR (Next Gen is a plus), handles phone calls, collect and post payments * Experience with clinical logs and OSHA compliance * Bilingual Spanish/English
