Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse is to provide professional services to Mayo Clinici Health System - Faribault patients and staff following established standards and practices and nurse management of the assigned practice area.
This position works directly with the surgeon in our Speciality Clinic area.
• Receives direction from the Director of Nursing while working collaboratively with the physicians and nursing staff members. The individual has continuous contact with others, both internally and externally.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum requirements include Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; Current licensure in the State of Minnesota CPR certification
Other Qualifications:
• Basic computer knowledge; accuracy to implement orders or requests, ability to use metric system; detail oriented; excellent and effective communication skills; knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care; ability to maintain quality standards
• Generally works in a well-lighted, climate controlled environment. Some exposure to hazards of infection, skin contact with chemicals and injury from sharp instruments exists. Works around equipment and machinery with moving parts.
• Will stand and walk for the major portion of the work schedule. Moderate to heavy lifting up to 100 pounds is required. Full use of hands, good vision, hearing and clear articulation.
• Must be flexible to accommodate changing workload. Effectively handles short term and sustain in stressful situations. Ability to fulfill flexible work schedule.
• Performs duties in a positive manner. Exhibits willingness to do a good job and works cooperatively with other health team members.
License or Certification:
• Minimum requirements include Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; Current licensure in the State of Minnesota
• CPR certification

Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Hours/Pay Period: 36 hrs/week
Schedule Details: Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Some days may be later than 5 p.m. Friday 8 a.m. - 12 noon.
