Description Essential Functions Accept and place local and long distance relay calls forconsumers. Follow desired method of billing instructions and enter billinginformation into the system. Translate electronic messages to voice messagesand voice messages to electronic messages. Translate sentence structures andlanguage patterns from American Sign Language (ASL) to Spanish and Spanish toASL to ensure the correct message is relayed. Convey the callers actualfeelings and emotions. Relay contents of the call as accurately as possiblewithout intervening in the conversation. Maintain strict consumerconfidentiality. Qualifications Typing skill of 50+ WPM using a personalcomputer. Good use of Spanish and English grammar and spelling. Goodarticulation and pleasing speaking voice.
