Cerner's Global Translation Team is responsible for all of Cerner's translation needs. As Cerner continues to expand its presence in the global market, the Global Translation Team works to effectively assist these efforts in numerous areas as well as ensure growth and success in 2013 and beyond.Responsibilities
The Globalization Analyst is responsible for the validation of the translation and localization of Cerner's software into a specified language. This role ensures the quality of Cerner's localized software by performing certification functions including writing and executing test plans as well as managing and updating terminology databases while managing the relationships with Cerner's translation suppliers.
Working closely with the established team of translation, internationalization and localization specialists at our world headquarters in Kansas City, US, your key responsibilities will be to:- Translate and manage a variety of translation requests, closely tracking quality and completion of these requests.
- Proofread and review all work completed to ensure accuracy for the local market.
- Assist in the completion of translation validation of Cerner Millennium software.
- Manage relationships with Cerner's translation business partners.
- Maintain terminology databases using industry standard localization tools. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications;
- Fluent English, with fluency in Spanish
- Degree educated, preferably with a discipline in translation/localization
- Translation and/or localization experience preferred
- Exceptional eye for detail and accuracy in written communications
- Experience with translation/localization software (SDLX, TRADOS) beneficial
- Terminology management experience advantageous
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must live in (or willing to relocate to) the Kansas City area Additional Information
