JOB OPPORTUNITY May 20, 2013 Job Posting # 3189 Position Title: Bilingual School Psychologist Department: Manhattan Early Childhood Center (MECC) Washington Heights Status: Full-time (32.5 Hours/Week) current vacancy through summer * Provides consultation with teachers, teaching assistants, parents, related services staff, and administrators regarding social, behavioral, emotional and developmental issues as well as giving feedback about interpersonal dynamics when appropriate. Evaluates the effectiveness of programs in the classroom with regard to behavioral issues, programmatic modifications, and developmentally appropriate interventions. Maintains appropriate and effective interpersonal relationships with team members, other staff, department members, supervisors, administrative staff, parents, and outside agencies and demonstrates the following skills. Demonstrates respect for families and children we serve and promotes a positive school community and culture. Performs all other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education, training, experience: Requirements: NY State License in School Psychology with NY State Bilingual Spanish Extension, MA degree and 2 years exp. working with preschool children with special needs. Hours of Work: Typical hours of work will be Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
