The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank has an immediate opening for an Editorial Associate. In this role, the Editorial Associate provides editorial assistance, including copy editing, proofreading, and fact checking, to the managing editors of the various publications within Research/Publications; posts content to the Banka s external website; manages subscription database and fulfills publication requests; and assists writers with research and contributes articles to Econ Focus magazine. The position is located in Richmond, VA.

****The range for this opening is $37,207-$58,136 annually
****Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individuala s knowledge, skills and experience as defined in the job qualifications/experience

Essential Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Reads, reviews, and copy edits articles for Econ Focus, Economic Quarterly, and the Economic Brief series, checking for style, organization, clarity, consistency, and layout. Fact checks articles for accuracy. Maintains style guides.
  • Copy edits and posts Working Papers and Econ Focus to the Banka s external website. Posts other content as needed. Maintains the Research Departmenta s Social Science Research Network (SSRN) page.
  • Manages changes to the subscriber database, including updating existing entries and inputting new entries. Fulfills publication requests. Assists in marketing initiatives to expand readership.
  • Assists staff with research, data collection, and transcription of interviews. Contributes articles to Econ Focus.
  • Reviews Research/Publications materials on the Bank's internal and external websites for accuracy.
