Overview

The Patient Empowerment Advocate plays a crucial role as the first point-of-contact of CTCA, providing information and support as potential patients embark on their decision-making journey. This role delivers the CTCA standard of care while providing positive, compassionate service, offering the next steps for admittance to CTCA.

 

  • Act as an initial point of contact to all inquiries, including patients, caregivers, and general questions. Learn to access all available resources provided by CTCA; develop an understanding of services, options and protocols.
  • Provide the best solutions for the patient's specific needs and medical situation, follow our best practices to enhance the patient experience.
  • Use active listening and rapport-building skills to gather information that will allow you to provide direction and meaningful hope.
  • Record accurate contact notes in Hope Book (CRM system).
  • Partner with Senior Patient Advocate to support the patient in coming to CTCA.
  • Actively participate in all new and ongoing department initiatives while increasing productivity and delivering on established departmental goals.



Requirements

 

Key Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Sales, or Healthcare-related field required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • 2+ years experience in Inside or Outside Sales, or Business Development.
  • Achievement-oriented; must have proven success in meeting monthly performance metrics.
