Title: Certified Medical Assistant- Bilingual- Spring/Klein OB/GYN, Spring TX Location: Texas Other Locations: Certified Medical Assistant- Bilingual -Spring/Klein Ob/Gyn, Spring TX Provides caring and compassionate direct care in a clinic setting under the direction of a physician. * Assists medical providers, and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the practice policies and procedure. * Assists in the assessment of patient needs and health plan by taking vital signs, BP, patient history, medication listing, assessing visual acuity, and determining chief complaint. * Prepares equipment and assists physicians with medical treatments, exams, and medical procedures. * Administers prescribed medications, and gives intramuscular and subcutaneous injections. * Complete necessary documentation using Electronic Medical Records. * Assist with auditing, billing, and coding as requested. * Calls appropriate insurance to pre-certify surgeries, or tests ordered by the physician or other health care provider. * Graduate of an accredited CMA program preferred. * Two years of medical office experience, front end and back end. * Phlebotomy training. * Knowledgeable in coding, billing, and medical back office procedures. * Front office experience in MS Office Suite, and Electronic Medical Records (Next Gen is a plus), handle phone lines, collect, and post payments. * Great communicator able to del tactfully and professionally with patients, families, staff and physicians. * Bilingual Spanish/ English preferred
