23980--Sodexo is seeking an Entry Level Food Service Manager (I) for St. Luke Residential Healthcare Facility (200 Residents) in Oswego, NY. Oswego is about 45 miles Northwest of Syracuse. Position assists with the management, payroll, and scheduling of 55 employees and will assist with: dining room services, Resident tray line, mid-day nourishments, a small retail area, catering, inventory, ordering, HACCP and sanitation monitors, food and labor cost controls. Ideal candidate has: Healthcare/Seniors Food Service Management experience, a Servsafe Certificate, excellent communication and leadership skills to work with employees on exceeding Client and Resident expectations, hands on culinary and food production knowledge, some food retail and catering experience, computer skills to work in food management systems, and the ability to lead the department safety committee. Typical schedule will run 11:00am till 8:00pm on week days and 9:30am - 6:30pm on bi- weekly weekends. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
