Description

Every day, through the essential food services that Sodexo provides, the Patient Services Manager helps nurture a healing environment. Responsible to implement programs, systems, and procedures focusing on the patients' needs. The Patient Services Manager provides direction, guidance, and supervision of patient hospitality employees in patient care units. Directs daily operations of patient meal service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory, and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines. The Patient Services Manager is the liaison with the clinical nutrition team and the hospital nursing team to implement patient/resident needs.

Sodexo is seeking a Patient Services Manager for a position at Jackson Memorial Hospital, a large trauma/acute care facility with an average census of 830. Patient dining program is a Hostess Patient Service program. Ideal candidate will have prior experience in a health care environment (hospital or senior community) and experience managing within a union environment.

Provides direction, guidance, and supervision/direction of patient hospitality employees at patient care units. Serves as senior and primary representative of patient care activities. Position takes an active role in finance/cost controls of patient meal services. Manages initiatives for job redesign and process improvement, including interdepartmental improvements with nursing staff.

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
