Sodexo is seeking a Catering Manager 3 at Drexel University, located in West Philadelphia. We are seeking an experience Catering professional to lead a team within our upscale and fast paced environment. Sodexo Catering at Drexel University (branded as Chestnut Street Caterers) is competing with some of the best caterers in Philadelphia. The reputation of Drexel University is on the rise as an international destination of higher education.
Sodexo Chestnut Street Caterers has off-premise catering revenues of $3.5 million and performs at a very high level, leveraging all of the latest trends in culinary, equipment and creative event planning. The Assistant Director of Catering will perform all front- and back-of-house duties associated with an off-premise caterer. Knowledge of food, production planning, trends, merchandising, set up, event planning, sales generation, promotional planning are required. This position will oversee the call center in addition to supervising events. Process improvement to create the best customer experience is needed. This position will work closely with Executive Chef, our clients and reports directly to the Director of Catering.
Manages all catered events. Hires, schedules, and trains catering staff. Works with clients/customers to arrange and follow through on all catering details and to ensure all special requests are met. Directs setup for events. Responsible for pricing, billing and resolving customer complaints. Develops menu/costing.
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
