Job Description
The patient care assistant assists patient care unit staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, which support nursing practice under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The patient care assistant carries out designated activities that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel.

This is a male prepper position.

Basic Qualifications:
MALE APPLICANTS ONLY. Successful completion of a vocational program for nursing assistants, including the acute care component or equivalent experience/education. Experience or education must have occurred within the last five years.

Other Qualifications:
Internal applicants should submit their three most recent performance appraisals.

Able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.

License or Certification:
Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) competency.

Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Hours/Pay Period: 72 hours per 2 week pay period
Schedule Details: Variable 8-hour shifts; Overtime as needed

Compensation Detail: Minimum rate is $15.40 based upon union contract.
