Job Description
RN desired, LPN required.
RN: The Registered Nurse is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, patient education, and discharge planning. The RN provides nursing care to patients and their significant others using an interdisciplinary approach across the continuum of care. The RN uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for assigned patients from admission through discharge. The RN provides leadership in various roles that include, but are not limited to preceptor role, lead/charge nurse, and committee member. The American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for Nurses provide a basis for practice.
LPN: Provides direct and indirect resident care in the appropriate setting across the continuum of care. Communicates with physicians about changes in resident’s clinical condition, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
Qualifications:
RN:Active Wisconsin RN license or ability to practice professional nursing in the state of Wisconsin. Current BLS Certification. One year of long term care experience preferred. Bachelors of Science - Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited university preferred.
LPN: Active Wisconsin LPN license or ability to practice professional nursing in the state of Wisconsin. Current BLS Certification. One year of long term care experience preferred.
Flexibility Works flexible hours, which include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends. Basic computer skills.Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Leadership, problem solving, verbal and written communication, and team building. Basic improvement concepts and techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology.Ability to organize and prioritize work/tasks, interprets medical abbreviations and symbols, demonstrates solution-oriented decision-making and problem-solving skills, utilizes excellent verbal and written communication, promotes team building and displays honesty, respect, and trust in daily practice.

Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider
Benefit Eligible: Yes
Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Hours/Pay Period: Half Time: 55 hours every 2 weeks
Schedule Details: 5 1/2 hour shift 7am to 12:30pm with flexibility required.
Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday
Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $20.29 per hour.
