Job Description
The LPN performs delegated nursing and medical functions of data collection and delivery of care to an assigned group of patients, or individualized patient. The LPN works under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician/authorized practitioner and in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. The LPN is responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures, and nursing practice guidelines.
The Certified Medical Assistant performs delegated medical functions under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician/authorized Practitioner in the delivery of care for all assigned patient populations. The CMA is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedure and practice guidelines
Basic Qualifications:
Current Minnesota LPN license Current Wisconsin LPN license for Wisconsin clinic satellite positions Current BLS certification preferred or ability to attain within 60 days of employment Previous LPN experience required; Ambulatory Care or Hospital is preferred CMA - Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree in Medical Assisting required; AAMA Medical Assistant Certification is required within 12 months of hire Maintains certification by retesting or by maintaining required CEU level as determined by the AAMA; Current BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
License or Certification:
MN LPN License & BLS Certification or AAMA & BLS certification
Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Hours/Pay Period: 80
Schedule Details: 8-5 Monday-Friday, rotate late evening. Requires flexibility.
