The Bilingual Specialist will provide support in the acquisition and retention of customers in both the group and individual market segments by ensuring the quality translation of communications and marketing/educational materials into Spanish, establishing and maintaining healthcare/insurance terminology/translation database and leading. *Translates language for marketing materials, member guides, member letters, automated message scripts and educational materials from English into Spanish. Interacts enterprise-wide to provide necessary translations.*Ensures consistent language and cultural sensitivity across all materials produced in Spanish. *Establishes and maintains the healthcare/insurance vocabulary/terminology database in the translation software. *Serves as the subject matter expert/lead on the translation software tool and logistics and details in all aspects of assigned programsBachelors Degree in Spanish, Communications, Health Care Management, Linguistics. 2 years experience in English to Spanish translation. Fluency in both Spanish (native level) and English. Superior writing skills in Spanish (native level, must complete an assessment) and excellent writing skills in English. ATA certification is required!!Experience with TRADOS or a similar translation software. Desktop publishing experience. Experience with interpreting. Working knowledge of idiomatic language differences among Spanish-speaking countries and be able to write for a general audience. Comprehensive understanding of health care and health insurance terminology. Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Ability to interact with customers and represent the company in the community. Attention to detail. Problem solving and decision making skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects. ATA English to Spanish certification and/or SDL Certification preferred.
