Description

We are a family of four living in Rye, NY. We are searching for a new nanny to help us with our two children. The position is for a part-time, live-out nanny for two boys, ages 6 (kindergarten) and 8 (2nd grade). The ideal candidate should have 10+ years as a nanny. We would also like the candidate to speak Spanish as well as English. The boys' prior nanny was Spanish speaking and spoke to them in Spanish. As the boys are taking Spanish in school we would like to continue their language skills training by having Spanish spoken at home also.In addition to a focus on all things related to the boys, we would also expect that the candidate do light housekeeping, family laundry, run occasional errands and do grocery shopping as well as meal preparation for the entire family a few nights per week. We are a fun-loving, casual, and active family. The boys are involved in many after school activities and once school ends will be busy this summer with camp and other activities. We are looking for a nanny who is comfortable with managing a very full roster of activities for the children and can manage the schedule with good humor and lots of energy. The ideal candidate will definitely have to have a driver's license with a clean record.Ideally, we need help from June 1 onward. The schedule for June is below but the schedule for July onward will change slightly when the kids are out of school and are going to camp. The July onward schedule is full days (6:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.) on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday-Friday is more, 6:30 a.m.-2 p.m. We are happy to discuss and give more clarity on timing. If you think you are a fit for this role, please let us know. If you do not speak Spanish, please do not apply. We look forward to hearing from you.
