Kaiser Permanente has recently started to standardize the financial planning processes and technology. There is significant focus on this effort and Kaiser has established a national FP&A function to drive the standardization across the organization. Accuracy and timing of financial planning is a key business objective for Kaiser and a business driver to determine membership rates. Current state of "Financial Planning" lacks consistency in the use of technology and is also not driven by business drivers. As the effort to bring all planning under a single focus and program ramps up, it is critical for Kaiser to establish a "center of excellence" to support the program from an application management stand point. This area is poised for rapid growth over next three years and beyond.
