Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a passionate and quality driven Chef Manager at Country Meadows Retirement Community located in Bethlehem, PA. This showcase account
is the home to approximately 450 residents on a beautiful 27- acre campus.
This opportunity offers the ability to become familiar with Senior Living as we work to provide the best dining experience for our residents. Our Chef Manager will lead the culinary operations for 2 buildings which encompass approximately 250 residents who reside in both assisted living and skilled nursing care. On a day to day basis, this role will support the community dining venues and manage the day to day operations including production, food quality and resident satisfaction while overseeing a staff of 6. This position will work hands
on and side by side with the culinary team. In addition, this role will interact with residents during their dining experiences and will also interface with the client and residents on a regular basis.
Our ideal candidate will have a valid Serv-safe certificate, excellent knowledge of food presentation, fundamental culinary knowledge, food and labor management systems
experience, and strong interpersonal skills to effectively work collaboratively with several generations in the workplace. Our best qualified candidates will have previous experience with Department of Health regulatory guidelines and be flexible with work hours. Scheduled days and shifts will vary and may include rotating weekend and holiday management coverage.

Supervises cooks and oversees the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food. Estimates food consumption and purchases food. May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible for cash management. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. This position is the leader for an account/unit chef/production group. This position is in smaller accounts/units where there is not a Chef or Food Production Manager. Reports to GM.
Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
