The Director of Credit Administration will participate in early-stage, project vetting discussions and work closely with RDF’s community development finance teams providing consultative project structuring advice and deal flow management support. The Director of Credit Administration will report to the Chief Credit Officer and is responsible for ensuring that credit risk across the organization is adequately identified, thoughtfully articulated, critically analyzed, properly understood, and appropriately mitigated. The Director of Credit Administration will be responsible for recommending changes and enhancements to underwriting guidelines, credit policies, and procedures; and will also oversee a small staff that is responsible for all aspects of loan closing and modifications, reporting, and loan servicing.
• Knowledge of Community Development Financial Institutions, the New Markets Tax Credit Program, and experience with lending to not-for-profit organizations • At least 10 years of commercial banking/real estate lending/direct investment experience with a high level of analytical ability to evaluate risk and conceptualize alternative credit structures • Must be detail-oriented with excellent communication/presentation skills • Able to multi-task and manage projects under tight deadlines • Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office applications is required
