Responsible to ensure a flow of material from critical suppliers to keep Powertrain (and Assembly) plants operational. Work closely with suppliers, 3rd party service providers, internal functional groups throughout Supply Chain Management, Material Logistics Management, Purchasing, Quality, Powertrain plants and Engineering. Work with critical suppliers to develop production and shipment plan to protect scheduled build rates at Chrysler Powertrain plants. Monitor actual shipments to ensure requirements are met. Develop joint recovery plans to resolve chronic behind schedule conditions. Run and analyze production reports to identify potential shutdowns. Analyze part restrictions and jointly determine an allocation plan across plants to optimize production capabilities.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (with focus on Supply Chain Management or Operations Management)
Minimum of 5 years experience in Supply Chain Management in the Automotive Industry / Manufacturing environment with an emphasis on material planning to meet part requirements at the customer plant
Preferred Requirements:
Manufacturing / Supplier plant experience is a plus
An advanced degree is preferred
Foreign language skills (Spanish especially) are a plus
