The Product Design and Development Engineer-Engine Sealing is responsible for design/release sealing components for one of the current production engines and its upgrade. The Engineer is also accountable for all sealing joints to ensure a leak free engine. Success candidate will lead root cause analysis on leak issues from the testing, plant, and field. Other responsibilities include leading design improvement/cost reduction for sealing components and joints.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's of Science in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in engine product design and development
* Good understanding of gasoline engine hardware and function
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Effectively operate both independently and as part of a team
* Create and apply component and system DFMEAs and DVP&Rs
* Read and understand component drawings and GD&T
