Job Description
The Utilization Management Coordinator is a professional healthcare team member who utilizes refined assessment and planning skills to assist patients and families to move across care settings. This individual provides or makes available services including but not limited to continuity of care planning, resource assistance and advocacy, financial/legal resource information and assistance. The UMC is also responsible for reviewing and assessing the appropriateness of inpatient medical care through regular review of the inpatient census, discrepancies in Utilization Management (UM) criteria, utilization of services, and alternatives to patient care.

Basic Qualifications:
BSN preferred. 3-5 years of acute patient care experience preferred. Experience in quality improvement preferred. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Other Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited nursing school.

License or Certification:
WI RN license or eligible required.
